Keep it uncovered
Don't stack extra bedding or thick blankets on top of the pad — that traps heat instead of letting it vent normally. A thin towel between the pad and your pet is fine.
Supervise & wipe clean
Use under supervision, especially the first few times and with pets that chew. Wipe the cover with a damp cloth; don't submerge the pad or the controller.

What this heating pad doesn't do
- It's a low-voltage comfort warmer, not a space heater — it won't heat a whole crate or room, only the surface your pet is lying on.
- It's not a medical or therapeutic device. It doesn't treat arthritis, joint pain or any health condition — talk to your vet about a pet's medical needs.
- No separate auto-shutoff timer. It has a built-in overheat-protection circuit, but if you want it to turn off on its own, add a plug-in timer or unplug it when your pet isn't using it.
- Not for pets that chew cords, can't move away from heat on their own, or can't be supervised the first few times they use it.

Does it turn off automatically?
It has a built-in overheat-protection circuit, but no separate auto-shutoff timer. Use a plug-in timer if you want it to switch off on its own, or unplug it when your pet isn't using it.
Is it safe for pets that chew?
The cord has a steel-sleeved, chew-resistant jacket, but no cord is fully chew-proof. Supervise pets that chew, especially the first few times.
Is it waterproof?
The cover is waterproof and wipes clean. Don't submerge the pad or the controller in water.
